Dear participants and guests of the IX International ATOMEXPO Forum!

The nuclear energy industry has not only preserved its positions in the recent years, but has been developing actively and preparing for the future. Today, when the world is set to build a low-carbon generation profile, it is nuclear energy (together with hydroelectric power plants and renewable energy sources) that will provide the amount of energy the humankind needs for development.

But nuclear industry is not just about energy generation; in many countries its primary focus is on new technologies in healthcare, agriculture and other industries. The main topic of our forum, “Nuclear Technology for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability”, will help consider the role of nuclear energy in today’s struggle for maintaining environmental balance on the planet, along with its contribution to sustainable economic development and improvement of human livelihood.

Another important issue to be discussed at the forum is additive and digital technologies that help ensure competitiveness of nuclear energy in the international markets, faced by the challenges of the global economy.
